Careers

Seeking dedicated problem-solvers.

Providing meaningful work, professional growth and personal flexibility.

Walden Environmental Engineering is seeking team members in civil engineering and environmental science who are willing to go above and beyond to make a difference in serving customers, the community, and the environment. We want highly motivated problem-solvers who understand the critical nature of our projects. Because the demands of the job are so high, we take every effort to create a supportive working environment that encourages employees to invest in their own personal and professional growth.

We invest in our employees in three specific ways:

  • Building connections. Even as the company grows into new regions, Walden maintains a family atmosphere and community focus. The Walden culture is about supporting one another, by celebrating successes and key life events, and building relationships. In addition, our offices are designed to amplify connection with one another and the environment through open spaces and common areas, outside patios, ample daylighting and décor with natural materials.
  • Supporting growth. We offer flexible hours that encourage balance between work and life. We support professional growth by covering costs for additional licensure or pursuit of advanced degrees as well as in-house training. Walden hosts weekly lunch-and-learn sessions open to all staff. These sessions further support our belief that the more educated our staff, the more value we provide to our clients.
  • Giving back to the community. Each year, Walden hosts a Day of Service in celebration of the firms’ anniversary. All staff is encouraged to take off work to participate in this joint volunteer activity. Past events have included work for Long Island Cares, Habitat for Humanity, North Shore Land Alliance, Mill Neck School for the Deaf, Oyster Bay Waterfront Center, and the Community of Breezy Point Hurricane Sandy cleanup, among others.

If you’re looking for civil engineering or environmental consulting jobs where you can apply your passion for problem-solving and love of the environment while pursuing your personal goals, contact us today.

Everyone here has been so welcoming and open to helping me learn how to navigate my way around the company. People are never “too busy” to answer questions. As a result, I’ve been able to quickly learn how to integrate my prior experiences with Walden’s way of helping clients and communities. Walden is a busy place with interesting projects always on the horizon. I am proud to work here and excited about the future!
