Compliance with Federal, State and local air permitting requirements and the myriad of air regulations can be
mind-boggling. Walden’s air quality experts are ready to help. We evaluate indoor air quality to determine if you need to install
or modify an exhaust system to comply with OSHA or USEPA air quality requirements. Walden’s project expertise includes site
inspections, monitoring, reporting, system design, and preparation of drawings and application filings for
Federal, State and Local Permits, including:
Title V Permit (USEPA)
Walden evaluates actual and potential total air emissions from facilities to determine if a Title V Air Permit is required. We can evaluate your facility and, if needed, prepare the Title V permit applications and assist with continuing compliance requirements.
State Air Permit or Registration (NYSDEC)
For facilities that do not require a Title V Permit, Walden prepares a State Permit or Registration Application. We then assist with continuing compliance requirements.
Local Air Permit (NYCDEP)
Many local jurisdictions (City, County, Town, Village) have their own permit requirements. Walden can prepare any required applications for your facility.
Walden collects air samples of exhaust systems, as well as indoor and/or outdoor air and has them analyzed for chemical composition. We can evaluate your facility and compare the results to standards and/or permit limits. Based on the testing data, Walden will evaluate the effectiveness of the exhaust system.
Walden can evaluate potential emissions from your facility and determine cost-effective methods for compliance with all regulations and emission limits.
Walden can evaluate any equipment needed to reduce emissions to allowable levels and design the required control system.
USEPA Method 9 Visible Emissions (Opacity) Evaluation Report (DSNY)
Walden’s Certified Visible Emission Evaluators can determine exhaust opacity compliance and prepare all required inspection reports.
Community Air Monitoring Protocols (CAMP)
CAMPs are typically required during excavation/construction activities by various government agencies. Walden can prepare the necessary plans and implement CAMP during your construction project.
Community Air Monitoring On-site Testing
Walden can perform all necessary air sampling to ensure compliance with the CAMP.
OSHA Indoor Air testing
Walden can perform air sampling inside your facility to ensure you are in compliance with all applicable OSHA indoor air limits. We can evaluate the results and recommend cost-effective compliance options.
Site Safety Air Monitoring
Walden provides on-site safety personnel to perform real-time air monitoring in confined spaces, trenching and excavation situations, and also during hazardous material investigations, excavation and loadout activities. We can perform site safety air monitoring during your project to test air quality and confirm the air is safe to breathe, ensuring that project staff is not adversely affected.
