RCRA Closure, Freeport, NY
Walden was retained to work with NYSDEC to complete the required publicly noticed RCRA closure requirements for a former manufacturing facility after it stopped production, relocated all production equipment, finished goods and raw materials to out-of-state production facilities, and shipped all hazardous waste off site.
An industrial construction adhesive manufacturing company was closing down its facility in Freeport, NY and needed to obtain Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) closure in accord with NY state regulations.
Filed RCRA Closure Plan with NY State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)and implemented NYSDEC approved sampling/closure activities to the satisfaction of the NYSDEC.
Successfully obtained certificate of closure from NYSDEC for hazardous waste management areas at the facility.
