Tier II Right To Know

Any facility storing or handling hazardous materials is required to complete the annual New York City Community Right-to-Know Program (RTK) Tier II filing with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and NewYork City Fire Department. These filings are due annually by March 1st and the process involves several steps that Walden can handle for you completely and efficiently. In addition to chemical plants and power generating stations, Walden is also an Allied Member of the GNYADA (Greater New York Auto Dealer Association). We’ve served several GNYADA car dealerships on an annual basis wit their RTK filing. Failure to complete the filing or doing so incorrectly can result in large fines up to $2,500. Walden can ensure that your RTK filing is completed and filed on-time by providing you with:

  • Help Facilities with questions regarding Right To Know Tier II
    process
  • On-site Facility Inspection
  • Inventory All Hazardous Substances
  • Hazardous substance name and ingredients
    • Physical state
    • Physical and health hazards associated with the chemical
    • The storage locations of all chemicals within the facility
  • Calculate the Volumes and Percentage and Weight of All Hazardous Substances
  • Compile Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Fill Out All Necessary Paperwork for FDNY and NYCDEP, including Facility Inventory Form (FIF)
  • Complete Online Filing Submittal for NYCDEP
  • Submit All Information Before March 1st Deadline
  • Aid facilities with late submission

Air Quality and Air Emissions Permitting
